…day 2 (continuation) of my trip to Seattle with Rachel. after we left the EMP museum, it started to rain, so we took a cab back down to the piers to check out the aquarium. and that was pretty tight. there was a 10-day old sea otter pup that was cute as hell and i got to touch a bunch of weird shit. after that, we headed over to Capital Hill to do some shopping and exploring. we checked out the Stussy store, GOODS, Cake Spy Shop; and one of the places Rachel really wanted to go to was Cupcake Royal. i’m not really a huge fan of sweets, but that place was definitely the coolest cupcake spot i’ve seen (and because of Rachel, trust me, i’ve seen a LOT). they had an awesome setup and their packaging for their products was on point. after that, we had dinner at Plum Bistro, headed back to downtown, had drinks at PNK Lounge, went to chill in our hotel for a bit, and then took a cab back to the Cha Cha Lounge were we spent the rest of the night.

Seattle is tight as hell.

…day 2 was a complete day of stuff that me and Rachel wanted to do. we had planned to hit up the EMP museum, the Space Needle, the aquarium, about 3 different cupcake spots, anything else that Capital Hill had to offer as far as coolass shit goes, and of course the Cha Cha Lounge.

our first stop was this spot called Yellow Leaf Cupcake for breakfast, which was just a block away from our hotel. from there, we walked the rest of the way to the Space Needle and EMP. it was my first time inside the museum, and needless to say i was completely stoked about their current Nirvana exhibit and horror-film exhibit. both of those ruled all kinds. they had everything from Nirvana’s demo tape to the full body suit from Alien.

i’ll have to split this day into 2 parts cause there’s a bunch of photos from the rest of the night. so, this day is to be continued tomorrow…

…about a week ago, Rachel and i went on a kinda-last-minute vacation up to Seattle for a few days. it was her first time there so we had a lot to do in the 50 or so hours that we were there. and shit started off right as soon as we landed: it was super sunny, the train that we needed to take to downtown was easy to find, our hotel was 3 blocks away from the station, and the hotel was an awesome spot with a view of the space needle right outside our window.

day 1 was spent doing a bunch of walking since it was so sunny out. we went to Pike Place Market, (had to go to) the first Starbucks, down to the waterfront and piers, grabbed a bunch of awesome things to snack on all day long, and then we took a bus up to Bothell to have dinner with my family that lives up there. after that, we got back to Seattle and took a cab over to a random bar that had all the hype on yelp. tight.
