“Wake Me Up When I’m Famous” x Preview

…so here’s a more extensive preview of homie SKYLER EDWARDS‘ new zine: “Wake Me Up When I’m Famous”. the zine is filled with photos that Skyler took around his hometown of Pekin, Illinois. i believe that each piece is set to help give you an idea of how he sees the town of Pekin. pretty tight photos. rad cover. and overall cool zine (also comes with 2 rad stickers he printed). you can check out some of the photos included in the zine, as well as others that Skyler has taken more recently, on his site (that i linked above) and/or over at his TUMBLR. good dude though, for sure.

and if you are into it (as you should be), then you will also be stoked to know that i will be giving one of these zines away for FREE through a CONTEST on FRIDAY, MAY 11th.

spread word. give hype.

I’ve Got Mail x Skyler J. Edwards
…i got a package from homie SKYLER EDWARDS the other day. he lives in Pekin, Illinois and is a solidass dude. i originally met him on tour a few Summers back when Comadre was in his hood and glad that we still talk years later. he’s an avid photographer and (from what i can remember) has always been one. and he recently finished his new zine titled “Wake Me Up When I’m Famous” that he was quite stoked on and sent me a few copies of. it’s awesome. i really like the cover, and there are some rad photos for sure.
that’s it for now. a better write up and photos of the inside will be posted in the next few days. and maybe if you’re lucky, i’ll be giving one out for FREE sometime after that :) come back soon. hope you all had a great weekend.

Deadhorse x Siq Shit

…another new-jam-Friday. today i bring you an exclusive premier by a band called DEADHORSE. the track is called “Tired Lungs” and it will be found on their upcoming cassette release: “Live at The Office Recording Studio”, which will be out soon via the band’s own label and Ethic Records.

Deadhorse are from Erie, PA and play some damn good post-rock jams. these instrumentals have been on my top rotation the last few days as i’ve just discovered them recently and i am very stoked on what i have heard (and seen) so far. big ups to homie Craig over at I AM SHARK for hooking it up with some new music to check out. Deadhorse are currently on their first European tour; so if you live out there, go catch them and say whatup. they have also been documenting their voyage overseas through their video-diaries, so make sure you check those out too (and keep checking for newer ones to come).

anyways, if you wish to get a hold of this new cassette (that is out of only 100 copies), you can ORDER HERE or HERE. and thanks again to Craig and the Deadhorse crew for letting me get the track first. much love.

REBLOG and spread word.

While you all know we work hard, we’ve earned on our spot on a bi-weekly editorial column for Paradigm Magazine based out of Philadelphia, PA. We’re teaming up on the 1st + 15th of each month to display, create and showcase new collaborations of words and works, and contribute from ourselves, friends, and youth-doomers. For this first free verse by A. Sulllivan—she’s induced an introduction & free interpretation of these three photographs, and I think the result is solid! Don’t miss this! Running the first and 15th of each month, so keep gunnin!

Anonymous asked: Will Comadre cover Fugazi this year at FEST? you know, so they eventually have a reunion.

naw, i’d rather cover Nirvana. #hologram

…i’ve been following this crew for a bit now. based out of Edmonton, AB, Canada. i’m super into their shit and their idea as a collective. they got some tight rips, awesome stickers, and they also have some pretty tight gear for purchase over HERE.

follow them. on here or TWITTER. do that shit.

cause we’re all going NOWHERE FAST.

Jean Paul Gaultier x De Young Museum

…Rachel and i had a pretty tight date at the de Young Museum in SF’s Golden Gate Park the other day. she was super stoked on Jean Paul Gaultier’s new exhibit that they were having, so we went over to check it out on a nice ass day in the city. and it was definitely rad. i think the setup was put together well, although the space was kinda limited considering they had a bunch of shit to show, they did a good job of fitting it all in those rooms. things were stacked and mannequins were all over the place, and i liked what they did. other than the iconic and really huge pieces that were tight as hell, they had a few mannequins that had real faces projected on their heads; the faces would smile, blink, talk, sing and look at you while you checked out the pieces they were wearing (kinda creepy/very cool). one of the mannequins even had JPG himself projected on it and he greeted everyone walking in and talked about the exhibit and shit (very very cool). overall, good exhibit, great date.
